Clothing Rental Subscriptions

Why you should consider renting clothes not just for special occassions but for work and casual settings too!

I think I am behind on the clothing rental game. Last year a friend of mine told me about the clothing rental company she was using, and I thought, “wow, this is a game-changer”.  However, in reality, renting clothes someone else has used isn’t my cup of tea.  I don’t particularly like buying clothes from second-hand stores.

Years ago, I became a loyal user of Stitch Fix.  My closet is so full of clothes that I could be a brand ambassador for them  I love how I can have someone else pick out clothes for me.  I love the feeling I get when I know a new order is coming my way, and I have no idea if I am going to like it.  The more and more we work together, the more they get my style right.  I probably receive one or two compliments a week about my clothes, and I say, “Stitch Fix, I love it.”

I have noticed there are more and more on-line personal styling services available.  The other day I tried Wantable.  The first box didn’t have items correlated to my style, but that’s par for the course when trying a new service.  I didn’t hate it, and I am willing to give it another try.  The difference I found between Wantable and Stitch Fix is the number of items you will receive.  Wantable sends seven items, and Stitch Fix sends 5.  Otherwise, their service is pretty much the same.  On Facebook, I see ads for Daily Look personal styling services, that looks amazing.  I may have to give them a try next.

I find it hard at 48 y.o. to know what to wear!! I don’t want to look like a Mom.  I don’t want to look like I am trying to be too young.  And I  want clothes to fit my ever-changing body. On average, I will spend over $300 a month on clothes, shoes, jewelry just on myself PLUS dry-cleaning costs.

The right clothes for the job can make a woman feel good, confident, and beautiful.  Like it or not, people are judged by what they wear, especially when women are in a leadership position.- ESPECIALLY when in a leadership position!

That’s why as promised, I want to help women learn how to dress for success. Buying clothes for a career does not mean spending a large amount of money on a new wardrobe.  There are so many opportunities to look for clothing sales on-line, or you can rent clothes for a monthly fee with the option to purchase for a discount.

Clothing rental costs $50-$199 a month AND they clean the clothes! I am seriously considering this option.

Here’s what I found:

-So many stores to choose from! You have to review each website to find out what really fits your style.

-Cleaning is included in the price. BONUS!!!

-Some retailers let you keep the clothes as long as you want, while others expect it to be returned withing a given time frame.

-All companies give a discount to purchase an item you cannot live without.

Free Returns & Shipping!

-Not held responsible for normal wear and tear.

-Cancel or pause anytime.

I put some ideas together below for you to try out.  If you do try one of these services, post a comment.  I would love to hear about your experience.  ENJOY!!!
